SPRING ARBOR, MI –
Spring Arbor University has postponed its spring commencement for one week after more than 170 students reported symptoms consistent with or similar to norovirus.
The southern Michigan school's commencement had been scheduled for Saturday. Instead, the school says it will take place May 21 at the SAU Fieldhouse.
Final exams will continue as scheduled. The Christian university has more than 4,000 students.
The illness numbers were as of Tuesday evening. All non-academic related activities were cancelled from Wednesday through Sunday.
