Before they--and countless others--hit it big with movies or recording contracts, they were regulars on the vaudeville circuit.
Vaudeville--a kind of live variety show--was once the most widespread form of entertainment in America.
But by the mid-1930s, its popularity began to wane, eventually giving way to movies, radio, and television.
Now, one group of Michiganders is trying to bring vaudeville back with a few modern twists.
