ESPY's Summary, Craig Sager, Athletes and Activism, James Burns, Chad Tough, Draymond Green, Jermaine Edmondson, and Throwback Thursday.

On today's "Current Sports with Al Martin" ESPY's had several memorable moments, including speeches from Craig Sager about fighting through cancer and speeches from NBA superstars regarding police and African-American relations. Al plays both of the moments and once again extols activism sports. Next, Al and engineer Isaac Constans exchange their quick thoughts on the Jermaine Edmondson-Draymond Green altercation. Then, a true inspirational story is told firsthand on the air by James Burns, a man who walked over 600 miles to raise funds for the cause of Chad Carr. Burns in painstaking detail describes what motivated him to undergo such travail and how he got through it. And that about does it, but not before 'Throwback Thursday' takes you through the sports archives.

WKAR’s first live pledge drive since federal funding was eliminated is happening now. Our goal for the drive is $60,000 and reaching it will bring us one step closer to closing the federal funding gap.
