Michigan State’s Women’s Club Volleyball Team Offers Opportunity To Stay Involved

For the club's 24 members, getting another chance to play volleyball matters – even if it comes at a cost.

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State’s club volleyball team has given 24 women the chance to play the game that they love for the final time.

Like senior Alyxandra Hoberg, who had offers to play volleyball at Division 2. She wanted to attend MSU and decided the club team was the best thing for her.

The struggle that comes with being on the MSU club volleyball team means each member pays for their own uniforms and travel expenses. The university doesn’t provide any club team at MSU with much, so for the women on this team, their love for the sport comes at a cost. But when they realize just how passionate everyone is towards volleyball, the bond the team builds throughout the season is worth the price of admission.
