On Sept. 6, 2019, police evacuated MSU's Hannah Administration Bldg. due to a bomb threat.

Around 12:45 p.m., MSU police captain Doug Monette told WKAR that people are being allowed in the building. Officers are continuing to investigate the threat, received via phone.

Just before noon, Monette said police had no evidence of an explosive device at that time.

"At this time we have not found any suspicious packages," said Monette. "We're going to investigate it thoroughly and we'll go from there."

At 10:59 a.m., the MSU police department issued the following message on its Facebook page: "a person reported a bomb threat at or near Administration Hannah Building. We are asking you to evacuate Administration Hannah Building immediately and report any unattended packages, suspicious activity or persons to Michigan State University Police."

Earlier this morning, the MSU Board of Trustees held a meeting inside the Hannah Administration Building. But that meeting had concluded when orders to evacuate the building began.

Michigan State is beginning to collect money from insurance companies to cover the cost of the Nassar settlement. They now have about a third of the money. Insurance companies intially refused to pay after MSU claimed it wasn't liable.
