Earthflight - Flying High

Colorful macaw flying over water

Sun. June 1 -  8:00pm - WKAR-HD | A bird's-eye view of six continents, observing animal migrations and the world's natural wonders.

Take a breathtaking voyage with the world's birds, soaring across continents, witnessing spectacular animal migrations and great natural wonders, swooping down to interact with life-and-death dramas on land and at sea. This miniseries employs state-of-the-art technology and sophisticated camera techniques to show the world from the amazing aerial perspective of a bird's-eye view.

Flying High shows how the series was made, including the relationships that formed between people and birds. Also: the use of microlights, paragliders, drones and camera-carrying birds.

Every WKAR News story you read is rooted in fact-based, local journalism, produced without commercial influence and available for free to everyone in mid-Michigan. No paywalls. Ever.
