How To Submit A Story | Messages From The Mitten

We want to know about your hopes and your fears for this season. Let us know if you’ve experienced a different holiday season before. How did you handle it?

Brings us into your moments of joy. Take us along as your family bakes cookies (record the sound of the mixer, or other kitchen sounds), or tell us a story about how you’re getting outside!

Please send us a voice memo, using the voice memo app on your phone to mitten@wkar.org with the subject “Mitten” - or give us a call at (517) 355-WKAR. Make sure to say and spell your full name for us, give us your age, where you’re from in Michigan, and what you do here. Then, tell us your story! We may use it as part of our “Messages from the Mitten” series on how Michiganders are adapting this holiday season.

Along with your voice file (maximum length of three minutes), you may send up to three audio files of sounds that go with your story (e.g. singing, cooking, sounds from a winter hike, etc.).
