UPDATE: 2:25 P.M., FRIDAY MAY 19: Funeral arrangements have been made for Ross Baldwin, the teacher whose death this week is being mourned at Lansing Catholic High School.
There will be a visitation Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in East Lansing, with a prayer service at 7:30. Another visitation at St. Thomas Aquinas on Monday at 9:30 a.m. will be followed by the funeral mass at 10:30.
In an email to parents, principal Doug Moore says there will be no school at Lansing Catholic on Monday so that staff and students can attend the funeral.
UPDATE, 1:30 P.M., THURSDAY MAY 18: Lansing Catholic High School is mourning the death of teacher Ross Baldwin today.
When Baldwin’s death was confirmed on Wednesday, the school postponed their Baccalaureate and Senior Awards ceremony, opting instead to conduct a memorial mass. An email later sent to parents indicates that it may not be possible to reschedule the Baccalaureate and that awards may be integrated into the school’s upcoming graduation ceremony.
The school day began today with mass in the school’s chapel. Grief counselors were made available. In classrooms, students were encouraged to share stories and write notes to the Baldwin family.

The Catholic Diocese of Lansing spokesperson confirmed to WKAR News the death of Social Studies teacher Ross Baldwin on Wednesday. Grief Counselors will be at the school on Thursday.
A Baccalaureate and Senior Awards ceremony scheduled at Lansing Catholic High School for Wednesday night was postponed. The Diocese said a mass in honor of Baldwin's memory was held instead.
The circumstances of Baldwin's death have not been disclosed by law enforcement.
A Facebook page debuted Wednesday afternoon asking for the public's assistance to find Baldwin. Hours later, the page read the following: "Many of you have sent messages inquiring-- yes, the search is over. Thank you for everyone who left home or work to tear apart the town by foot, car, bike, and kayak. RIP Ross Baldwin."
By 6:00 p.m., the Meridian Township Police Department Facebook Page reported that Baldwin had been located.
Baldwin is survived by his wife and two children.
