Women's March

The Women’s March is hosting a convention from October 27 to October 29.

“Reclaiming our time” is the motto for the weekend, which aims at empowering women.

Actress Rose McGowan is one of the speakers at the convention.

In her first public comments since accusing film producer Harvey Weinstein of rape, McGowan said Friday she has been "silenced for 20 years" but won't remain quiet about sexual assault and harassment.

During her opening remarks at The Women's Convention, she thanked the audience "for giving me wings during this very difficult time."

Throughout the three-day weekend, eight “breakout sessions” are packed with various programs. There are special Women’s March Chapter Programming between breakout sessions.

Saturday will conclude with a Social Justice Concert with Melanie Fiona and Alice Smith headlining the event.

The convention also offers youth programming during the weekend.

Sunday’s closing ceremony concludes with a choir performance and a discussion called “Where Do We Go From Here?”
