There's a lot of green in vanilla.

A Michigan spice importer says he solved the case of missing vanilla beans by installing a camera at his Rockford warehouse. Authorities have charged an employee with stealing 50-pound boxes of beans worth more than $100,000.

WOOD-TV reports that Spice Jungle and Beanilla are fast-growing businesses in the Grand Rapids area. Owner Brent Reame says vanilla is one of the most expensive spices in the world.

Teresa Collins is due in Kent County court Thursday for a possible plea deal. A message seeking comment was left with her lawyer Wednesday.

Reame says he forgives Collins but will be "fighting hard" to be repaid.
