WKAR All Things Considered Host Karel Vega with the latest update on what is being reported as MSU Interim President John Engler's pending resignation:
Following reports that John Engler will resign as MSU interim president, Rep. Elissa Slotkin released the following statement:
“I’ve said for many months now that leadership climate is set from the top -- and it has been clear from Interim President John Engler’s repeated disparaging remarks toward survivors that he is not the person to be charged with creating a safer environment at MSU. I called on him to resign in June, and I support his decision to step down now. MSU deserves a leader who understands that his or her job is to unify the community, heeds the calls of students, faculty, staff, survivors and activists on campus who have fought to bring these issues to light, and charts a new way forward for MSU,” said Slotkin.
