Michigan State University is gathering updated information about the coronavirus on a new website

The website features a short video from university president Dr. Samuel Stanley Jr.

Among other things, the site outlines restrictions on MSU-sponsored travel.  The university has suspended travel to mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Italy.

Deputy Spokesman Dan Olsen says the website is being updated as often as possible.

“This is a very fluid situation and we are actively monitoring it,” Olsen says.  “So we want to make sure that all of our Spartan community has this information in real time as it’s available to us.”

Currently, all classes at MSU are operating normally.  Olsen says contingency plans are being made to provide offsite learning if necessary.
