There will be at least one new Lansing city council member after the November election.

In a few weeks, Lansing voters will decide who will fill four seats on the city council. At large candidates incumbent Carol Wood and former council member Harold Leeman, Jr. talk about the city’s heroin surge, the health of its neighborhoods, development and more.

Election day in Lansing is fast approaching. On November 3rd, voters will choose two at-large city council members and council members in the first and third wards.

On the day after the August primary, we talked with at-large candidates Emily Dievendorf and Pat Spitzley. Today, we talk with the other two at-large candidates about the issues in their campaign.

Carol Wood is an incumbent hoping to stay on the council, and Harold Leeman Jr. is a former council member who is hoping to return.
