West Circle's annual birthday party honors one of the world's most beloved composers by presenting works for woodwind and voice.
The celebration features 11 woodwind and vocal artists: Jan Eberle, oboe; Molly Fillmore, soprano; Melanie Helton, soprano; Harlan Jennings, baritone; Michael Kroth, bassoon; Peter Lightfoot, baritone; Deborah Moriarty, piano; Anne Nispel, soprano; Richard Sherman, flute; Corbin Wagner, horn; and Guy Yehuda, clarinet.
The program includes performances of works for woodwind quintet (from the Magic Flute – Die Zauberflöte Ouverture, KV 620; Fantasie für eine Orgelwalze, KV 608; Andante f-moll für Bläserquintett KV 616; and Divertimento Nr. 13 in F Major, KV 253) and arias and excerpts from well-known operas, including Cosi fan tutte, Figaro, and Don Giovanni.
