Current Sports #531 | August 21, 2015

Detroit Lions' Preseason, Kirk Cousins, Participation Trophies, Northwestern Union, and Reflection Friday.

This end-of-the-week chapter of Current Sports opens up with some discussion about the Detroit Lions and their impressive defensive outing against the Washington Redskins. Despite the loss, the Lions proved they are ready to pounce this year, or at least Al thinks so. On the other side of the field, how did Kirk Cousins do and where will he end up in the Redskins' depth chart? Then, it's time for the long-awaited debate of whether participation trophies are beneficial or harmful to kids' development. Al and Isaac chime in and then reflect on the long week with 'Reflection Friday'.
