WKAR Baking Special with Sweetie-licious!

If you are anticipating the season of baking that’s just around the corner, get a few tips and recipes from Linda Hundt, best known as “Sweetie-licious.” The local entrepreneur and owner of Sweetie-licious Bakery Café in DeWitt will share her baking secrets in a new WKAR-TV special, Sweetie-licious: A Taste of the Season.

Home For the Holidays!

The program is part of WKAR’s “Home for the Holidays” array of specials airing in December on the public television station.

Sweetie-licious: A Taste of the Season will premiere Saturday, December 1, at 10 a.m. (Repeat broadcasts: Sunday, December 2, 2 p.m.; Thursday, December 4, 8 p.m.; Saturday, December 8, 1:30 p.m., with additional broadcasts on WKAR Create and WKAR World)

Susi Elkins and Linda Hundt make tasty treats!

In the hour-long program, Hundt shows WKAR’s Susi Elkins the secrets of making gingerbread men, the perfect pie crust, “Mommy’s Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake Pie” and a coffee cake perfect to brighten any holiday morning.

As they prepare the holiday treats, Linda shares some of the stories behind her baking. Family plays a huge role in her life and she explains how she captured her brother’s hearts when she had her first Easy Bake Oven as a child. It was the start of a long career in the kitchen, culminating in the opening of her shop seven years ago.
