Greater Lansing Area Under Severe TStorm Watch

The Greater Lansing area is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11:00 p.m.

The Greater Lansing area is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11:00 p.m. 

The National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids placed the mid-Michigan area under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11:00 p.m. on Monday. The area includes 22 counties including Ingham, Clinton, Calhoun and Livingston.

Meteorologists warned of strong to severe thunderstorms before 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday.  The storms could include damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain. There is a chance of thunderstorms until 8:00 a.m.

Tonight's Low is expected around 45 degrees.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a High of 52 degrees and Low of around 36 degrees.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a High of 58 degrees and a Low around 41 degrees.

A 20 percent chance of showers is forecasted for Thursday. It will be mostly cloudy with a High of 59 degrees and Low around 41 degrees.
