Enjoy Monday’s warm weather because Michigan will change over to winter in less than 48 hours!  National Weather Service meteorologist Brian Mead says an arctic blast is coming and it will be here for a while.

“We have one more mild day on Monday," said Mead. "[It] looks like some rain though, not as nice as its been, then a cold front comes blasting through Tuesday. From there on out it changes to a pattern more like winter with snow showers and high temperatures not even reaching freezing."

Mead predicted lake effect snow showers along Lake Michigan and in the Grand Rapids area. The amounts will be less in the greater Lansing area, but enough to make roads slick.

The temperatures will definitely get your attention.

"From Wednesday all the way into the following weekend, high temperatures probably only around 30 degrees," said Mead.
