SEPTEMBER EPISODES

Sep. 5
Celebrating the start of the academic year with an hour of School Days. We'll learn about The Perks of Being a Wallflower from Michael Brook and visit a (very) pre-Dowager Countess of Grantham, Dame Maggie Smith, in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

Sep. 12
An encore of our episode exploring the scores of John Williams in the 1980s, from the smash hits of Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones to lesser known work like Andy Kaufman's Heartbeeps.

Sep. 19
An hour celebrating films that take a left turn and give the audience the "twist ending" music from Orson Welles' Citizen Kane and of course, M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense.

Sep. 26
Our monthly feature of newly released soundtracks and listener request. Have a favorite film score you haven't heard in a while? Email it to Jamie at MovieMusic@wkar.org.

WKAR has closed the gap left by the loss of federal funding. Because of you, trusted journalism, inspiring stories, and classical music remain freely available to everyone in mid-Michigan.
Now the work continues — your monthly gift helps maintain this success and keeps public media free for all.
