Fri. Dec. 13, 3:30pm and Sat. Dec. 14, 10am & 2pm | For the benefit of friends, family and Spartan fans around the world, WKAR Public Media will stream live all three Michigan State University Fall 2019 commencement ceremonies taking place Dec. 13 and 14 at the Breslin Center on the MSU campus.

Tawana Kupe, vice-chancellor at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, will be the featured speaker at the Advanced Degree Ceremony on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
Doug Meijer, a board member of Meijer, Inc., will speak at the Saturday morning Baccalaureate Ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. Meijer will be addressing graduates of the colleges of Arts and Humanities (Residential College), Arts and Letters, Broad College of Business Education, James Madison, Music, and Social Science.
Susan Packard, co-founder of HGTV, will speak Saturday at the afternoon Baccalaureate Ceremony, which begins at 2 p.m. Packard will be addressing graduates of the colleges of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Communication Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Lyman Briggs, Natural Science, and Nursing.
WKAR will stream each ceremony live with captioning. Links to the ceremonies can be found at the MSU Commencement and WKAR websites on the day of the events. Ceremonies can also be viewed in the Livestream app (search WKAR) on smart TVs and streaming devices.
For on-demand viewing, ceremonies will remain at the WKAR Livestream portal for two weeks following each event. After Dec. 27, each ceremony will be available for on-demand viewing (with captioning) in the free PBS Video app and online at video.wkar.org.
WKAR has been streaming MSU commencement ceremonies since the spring of 2000. In recent years, ceremonies typically draw viewers from across the U.S. and more than 20 countries around the world.
