90.5 Classical with Jamie Paisley | 9: 00 a.m - 2:00 p.m.
WKAR kicks off Independence Day Weekend on 90.5 Classical with Jamie Paisley with a bit of a command performance of John Williams' Air & Simple Gifts, a work which premiered during a presidential inauguration. Listeners can also look forward to Americana works by Dan Locklair, Florence Price, and Robert Russell Bennett's symphonic depiction of Abraham Lincoln.

MSU In Concert | 7:00 p.m.
Jody Knol features works by American composers, from the vault of the MSU College of Music. Enjoy works by Professor David Biedenbender, Abbie Betinis, and Pulitzer Prize-winner Kevin Puts. The program will begin with a march by John Philip Sousa.

Wind & Rhythm | 8:00 p.m.
This hour features songs from American composers such as Morton Gould, Charles Ives, William Schuman, and Randall Thompson.  Listeners will also hear songs from all five of the U.S. military branches as well as  songs featuring writings with some importance in American history.
