LSO becomes Broadway band for ‘American Idol’ alum

This weekend, the Lansing Symphony becomes a Broadway band. We speak with Maestro Timothy Muffitt, as well as Flint native & American Idol contestant, LaKisha Jones about Saturday’s “Broadway Rocks” concert.

The Lansing Symphony becomes a rock band on Saturday night for their pops concert "Broadway Rocks."

Current State’s Jamie Paisley speaks with one of the vocalists for the concert, Flint-native LaKisha Jones, who sang for millions during season 6 of TV’s American Idol. Jamie also chatted with the LSO’s Maestro Timothy Muffitt about turning the orchestra into a Broadway pit band.
