In May, we told you about Keys In the City, a project combining art and music around the Lansing area. Pianos decorated by local artists are beginning to crop up in public spaces, and you can enjoy them as art or even sit down and tickle the ivories yourself. Now, the Lansing Art Gallery is launching a public art project of its own.Project Pop Up will include works of art displayed in places where you wouldn’t expect it, including in the trees of downtown Lansing.

Current State discusses Project Pop Up with the executive director of the Lansing Art Gallery, Barb Whitney, and artist Tim Lane.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
