Paula Poundstone appears at MSU's Wharton Center Thursday night.

You may know her from her regular appearances as a panelist on NPR’s “Wait Wait...Don’t Tell Me,” or maybe from her stand-up comedy specials over the years. Paula Poundstone is coming to the Wharton Center this Thursday. She talks with Current State's Katie Cook.

She’s been cracking people up with her stand up comedy since the 1980’s, and newer generations are discovering her from her regular appearances as a panelist on NPR’s “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me.” Comedian Paula Poundstone is always ready with a quip, no matter what the topic at hand. She has a distinct ability to improvise with her audience and engage with them as part of her act. As a result, no two shows are ever the same.

Current State producer Katie Cook talks with Paula Poundstone ahead of her performance at the Wharton Center this Thursday.
