British violinist Daniel hope leads a grand tour through several eras of great music. WKAR's Peter Whorf takes us through Hope's newest release, Journey to Mozart. It's WKAR's March New Release Of The Month.
Daniel Hope says of Journey to Mozart:
"We start with Gluck..which is going from the middle of the Baroque to the finest of the Classical period. And then it goes into the very early stages of Romantic music. It was very clear to me that Haydn was going to be a central part of the album because of his close friendship to Mozart. Haydn was the great father figure I think he always wanted to have. Hayden said to Mozart's father, 'your son is the greatest composer I have ever known.' "
