Social media helps Michigan entrepreneur land beer with Branson

BeerwithBranson.com

We’ve all heard of 6 degrees of separation, the idea that everyone in the world is connected through links of acquaintances. Bugsy Sailor  believes that with social media, the degrees separating people are even smaller. He decided to put his theory to the test. In 2010 as a New Year’s resolution, he launched Beer with Branson, an online social experiment to see if his connections could land him a beer with one of his idols, Virgin Group founder and billionaire Richard Branson.

His experiment was a success. A few weeks ago, Bugsy, a Michigan state alum and the founder of Yooper Steez, sat down to have a beer with Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson. Current State’s Emanuele Berry talked with him about having a beer with his idol.
