Lansing lives improved by 25 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act

On July 26, 1990, then President George H.W. Bush signed into law the Americans with Disabilities Act. We hear about the impact the law has had here in Mid-Michigan in the past 25 years.

Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of the passage of the American with Disabilities Act. The landmark legislation covers a wide range of civil rights issues for people with disabilities.

Disability advocates across the country celebrated the law’s quarter-century birthday this weekend, including some right here in the Lansing area.

Current State’s April Van Buren speaks with a few of them about the impact the ADA has had in our community in the past 25 years.
