Charlevoix is in the "Hip, Artsy, Fun" catagory of the Lansing State Journal's Small Town Madness bracket competition.

The Lansing State Journal has been running a poll of the best Michigan small towns in a variety of categories. Reporter Kathleen Lavey updates us on the winners.

For MSU fans who are still upset about last Friday’s loss, don’t worry. We have something that will distract you from the pain. Instead of March Madness, try Small Town Madness.

Hosted by the Lansing State Journal, this bracket takes Michigan’s best towns of fewer than 6,000 people, puts them into categories, and pits them against each other to see who emerges victorious.

Round one is over. The voting for Round two closes tonight at 11 p.m., so there’s still time to cast your votes.

Lansing State Journal reporter Kathleen Lavey tells us about who is still in the running and fills us in on some details about these great little Michigan towns.
