NFL Kickoff Rule Changes; CTE and Concussions

Timeless tradition or dangerous endeavor? On this episode of "Current Sports with Al Martin," Al discusses the NFL kickoff rules, and the NFL's decision to leave the kickoff unchanged for the 2018 season. Callers weigh in, sharing their thoughts and experiences with both head trauma and rule changes. Al also highlights the relationship between football and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, or CTE, which is brought on by multiple brain injuries. Al closes the show by previewing the story of Darius Bazley, a high school basketball player who has decided to enter the NBA G-League instead of attending college and playing in the NCAA. Former MSU Women's Basketball player Taya Reimer will also join the show tomorrow, so be sure to tune in at 1:00 P.M.
