Hundreds of bicycles at the MSU Surplus Store. They’re among the tons of reusable items left behind by departing students.";

The cornucopia of stuff left at MSU after students leave for the summer includes  bikes, furniture, clothes, food and carpeting. We visit the MSU Surplus Store to assess the haul.

Tens of thousands of Michigan State University students have left campus life behind in recent days. They’ve also left behind tons of stuff: furniture, food, carpeting, bikes, clothing and lots more.

Current State's Mark Bashore visited the store for a tour with the store’s communications director, James Ives.
