Luke Wilcox Named Michigan Teacher of the Year

Luke Wilcox, Michigan Teacher of the Year

Luke Wilcox of East Kentwood High School was named Michigan Teacher of the Year in a surprise assembly on Tuesday. Wilcox is currently in his sixteenth year of teaching, all with East Kentwood. He is teaching AP statistics this year, and has previously taught Algebra I, geometry and pre-calculus courses. Wilcox formerly served as chair of the math department. Wilcox was recently given the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching.
