?Wed. Aug. 10 at 7pm at Valley Court Park, East Lansing | The Great Outdoors beckons… have you answered the call?

Come tell us your stories of outdoor adventure, exploring new territories, mishaps with Mother Nature, and the lessons you learned along the way. Maybe you had a mountaintop experience to remember, or a close encounter with wildlife you’d like to forget…

Whatever happened, we want to hear about it!

Come to Valley Court Park to share your story about “the call of the wild.” Your story should be a true, firsthand account. It should be around five minutes long and family and FCC friendly.

WKAR’s new Morning Edition host Brooke Allen will be hosting the event and she would love to meet you! Following Pop-Up Stories, at 9:00 p.m., there will be a free screening of “Where the Wild Things Are,” brought to you by the The City of East Lansing's Moonlight Film Festival.

Refreshments will be provided, and there will be pizza and popcorn for sale in time for the movie!

If you want to sign up to tell a story, please email Katie Cook at kcook@wkar.org.
