Neighbors in Action: Lansing Area AIDS Network

Courtesy Lansing Area AIDS Network

Lansing Area AIDS Network (LAAN), is dedicated to the delivery of services and programs designed to meet the needs of those living with HIV/AIDS and to help prevent the further spread of the virus.

A lot has changed since the first case of AIDS was reported over 30 years ago.

Great strides have been made in AIDS treatment, funding, and education. But there’s still work to do.

Lansing Area AIDS Network is not just dedicated to meeting the needs of people with HIV and AIDS and to preventing the spread of the virus, they are also committed to continuing the work of education and raising awareness.

For this week’s Neighbors in Action, we’re joined by LAAN Prevention Manager Dwayne Riley and Alex Saenz, a client and volunteer.
