In 2016, 1,300 Michigan residents received the gift of sight because of the generosity of others. A mother shared how her son's loss of life is helping others gain vision.

On June 20, 2009, Rose Robertson's 29-year-old son Jacob died unexpectedly, but he was organ donor. His death resulted in another person gaining vision.

More than 3500 people are currently waiting for an organ transplant in Michigan.
