A former financial adviser has been arrested in Michigan in connection with the theft of more than $700,000 from now-deceased clients whose investments he managed.

MLive.com reports that Robert Morley was arraigned Friday in Jackson County District Court on one count of conducting a continuing criminal enterprise and 29 counts of embezzlement of more than $1,000.

Morley was arrested at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Michigan's Attorney General's office says in a statement that Morley had left the state after an arrest warrant was filed.

The Leelanau County sheriff's office, state police fugitive team and Transportation Security Administration helped special agents in the attorney general's office locate Morley.

The newspaper reports that Morley is jailed on a $500,000 bond. It was not immediately clear if Morley has an attorney.
