Police say two girls and a young man were injured when someone fired shots into a crowd amid a large fight at an apartment complex in mid-Michigan.

The shooting happened Thursday night in Lansing.

The Lansing State Journal reports the girls and young man all had foot or leg injuries.

They were taken to a hospital for treatment of apparent gunshot wounds.

Police say that the injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

WILX-TV reports a large group of young people was involved in the fight.

Lansing police Public Information Director Robert Merritt says it was unclear whether the shooter "was even aiming at a specific person." Merritt says the suspect ran from the scene.

No arrests were immediately reported and police are seeking tips from the public.
