Steve Robinson will succeed the retiring Brent Knight as president of Lansing Community College.

Officials at Lansing Community College have chosen the school’s next president. Steve Robinson is currently the president of Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio, where he has served since 2018.

Robinson had been one of four finalists in a nationwide search.

Robinson earned his bachelor’s, master’s and PhD’s from Michigan State University, and his first intern teaching job was at LCC. He has also worked at Mott Community College, University of Michigan-Flint, and Ferris State University.

He will succeed Brent Knight, who is retiring on June 30th.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
