The Spartan women, like most elite college team, have a dedicated team of male players to practice against. The benefits go both ways: the women can practice harder and the men get to continue their basketball careers.

Playing high school sports comes with a cost - one usually borne by the school or district. But many schools require parents to chip in, to the tune of hundreds of dollars.

There is no middle ground, because once you have a profile on social media, you need to use it for name, image and likeness (NIL) promotions. It’s not an easy decision.
