Survey aims to bring focus to Michigan election issues

A "Vote Here" sign

Yesterday, the Center for Michigan released the results of a seven-month survey of people across the state. The report, issued in conjunction with Bridge Magazine, is called “Michigan Speaks: A Citizens’ Agenda for the 2014 Elections.”It compiles the results of thousands of conversations into what they hope will spur debate during this year’s elections.

Amber DeLind, the Outreach Director with the Center for Michigan, spoke with us about the topics Michigan citizens most vigorously want their politicians to address. The top issues were fixing Michigan's roads and education subjects including K-12 performance and high school graduation rates.
