This month, criminal charges were filed in the Flint water crisis and high ranking state officials appeared before a Flint legislative panel. State capitol reporters Susan J. Demas and Kyle Melinn review those and the rest of April’s most significant political news in our Month in Review segment.

At the end of every month, Current State takes a look back at political news stories that made headlines in Michigan. As usual, developments from the Flint water crisis dominated the state’s news. Criminal charges were filed and high ranking state officials appeared before legislative panels.

Current State revisits those developments with Susan J. Demas of the Inside Michigan Politics newsletter and Kyle Melinn of the Michigan Information and Research Service (MIRS).
