A much debated plan to rescue the Detroit Public Schools has passed the Michigan House and is now before the Senate. We talk with Dewitt Republican Rep. Tom Leonard about why he voted for it.

Last week he voted to support a package of House bills to rescue the Detroit Public Schools. Those measures have generated heated debate in recent days.
