Lansing regional human rights ordinances push for LGBT inclusion

Last week, officials from East Lansing and Meridian, Delhi and Delta Townships launched the One Capitol Region Coalition.  The group seeks to expand local protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people living in the greater Lansing area.  

Nathan Triplett, East Lansing’s mayor pro tem; Meridian Township Trustee Angela Wilson; and Emily Dievendorf, managing director of Equality Michigan, discuss the efforts to include LGBT protections in local human rights ordinances.
