The film focuses on three Detroit residents with varying backgrounds and experiences.
The decline of Detroit and the struggle of people hoping for a brighter future in the Motor City is the focus of the documentary “Detropia," from the makers of the Oscar-nominated “Jesus Camp."
“Detropia” was released last year and made a splash at the Sundance Film Festival and Boston’s Independent Film Festival.
WKAR-TV will air the film tonight at 10 p.m. as part of the PBS program “Independent Lens."
Current State’s Scott Pohl talked with Heidi Ewing, the co-director and co-producer of “Detropia.”
