State Superintendent details his county-based streamlining proposal

State Schools Superintendent Mike Flanagan is calling for some changes to the state’s schooling landscape to deal with growing funding deficits. By moving from hundreds of local districts to a county-wide model, Flanagan believes streamlining food services and other operations could save millions. This proposed change to the schooling landscape though is causing some concern over potential job losses and other unintended consequences.
