Neighbors in Action: Art for Charlie Foundation

Courtesy http://www.friendsofcharlie.com/

It’s Wednesday and time for our Neighbors in Action segment, where we feature people and organizations working to make our community a better place. This week, we feature the Art for Charlie Foundation. The organization, based in East Lansing, raises money to support hospice care for children and to help families coping with the loss of a child.

John Waller is a co-founder of the foundation, and Charlie's father. The Wallers started the foundation to address the absence of hospice care for young children when Charlie was diagnosed with an inoperable brain stem tumor.

If you’d like to nominate someone or an organization to be featured on our Neighbors in Action segment, please send an email to Currentstate@wkar.org. Put “Neighbors in Action” in the subject line and tell us why you think they should be featured for the great work they do.
