Friends Eric Craft and Jeremy Mason together form Craft & Mason Coffee. They currently roast three types of beans: a coffee called Bodhi Batak from Sumatra, a bean from the La Concordia farm in El Salvador, and a decaf from Colombia.

Microbreweries have been popping up all over the state, but what about micro roasters? Current State’s Emanuele Berry recently took a trip to visit the founders of Craft & Mason Coffee, a new micro roaster in the Lansing area.Eric Craft and Jeremy Mason developed a passion for coffee, so they decided to take their love to the next level and start roasting and selling their beans.

Mason says he first discovered his love for coffee at a beer festival.
