Eighth District race attracts moderate Dem challenger to Rogers

www.darga4congress.com/

Incumbent U.S. Congressman Mike Rogers will have a Democratic opponent when he runs for re-election this November. Ken Darga has thrown his hat in the ring this year against Rogers in the solidly Republican 8th district.Darga is stressing he is a moderate on the issues. In fact, on his campaign website, he  lists reasons Democrats should vote for him, and separately offers a list of reasons Republicans should vote for him.

The Lansing resident retired as Michigan’s Demographer last year, after 22 years in that position. He’s an economist who prior to his role as demographer worked at the Department of Management and Budget.

Darga says he's concerned about America's future if we don't bring back manufacturing.
