Popularity of pickleball moves north

There’s a new sport catching on in the Lansing area. Its appeal lies in its reliance on physical activity that isn’t too strenuous. Already popular with retirees in the south, pickleball is moving north with indoor play in colder climes.Current State’s Scott Pohl recently spent some time with a pickleball group that meets at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
