MSU, UM nationally ranked heading into Big Ten football season

Both Michigan State and Michigan came out of this past football weekend on the winning end, while MSU men’s basketball recruiting keeps piling on the points. We get the latest developments from the Detroit Free Press’s Joe Rexrode.

Michigan State football retained the second spot in the polls with its 30-10 win over Central Michigan this past weekend. Meanwhile, in-state rival Michigan rose to number 22 in the rankings after pounding Brigham Young 31-0 at the Big House.

And some basketball analysts are predicting even more success for MSU on the hardwood with what potentially could be a star-studded incoming class.
