Property destroyed by possible tornado in Kent County on Monday night.

Emergency crews in southeast Kent County investigated damage by a possible tornado on Monday night.

Lisa LaPlante, communications director for Kent County, told WKAR News no one was injured but the storm destroyed a barn in the 13,000 block of 92nd Avenue SE in Alto. Downed trees and utility wires are also reported in the area.

Monday at 8:38 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for southern Kent and Ionia counties.

WKAR News contacted the Ionia County Sheriff's Department, which said no major storm damage was reported.

The NWS forecasted calmer weather on Tuesday. A 30 percent chance of showers is predicted for Tuesday morning but they are not expected to be severe. The high temperature will be 50 degrees.
